The Die Has Been Cast

Ave Romans, and all those that have come to bear witness to the official return of Roman Empire. My name, like it was the day I failed to come up with a half-decent username when I first signed up for Club Penguin nineteen years ago, is Djgtjvgyhxgy; Dj for short. For some reading, my reputation and infamy proceed me. For others, an introduction is in order:

From the beginning, I was there. My first foray into Club Penguin armies was before the greater community came into being, during the Color Wars, where I fought on behalf of both the black & red clans. After that, I fought in the Clan Wars, and following the dissolution of Explorer’s Romans, I reunited what clans I could find into what would be the first iteration of the modern Roman army. We fought in WWIII alongside the ACP & RPF against the UMA, where our small numbers contributed little, but contributed nonetheless we did; All the way to the final decisive battle. From there, I continued to lead the Romans, and served in leadership positions in the ACP, RPF and others until my retirement in 2013, though I continued to serve in an advisory role for every Roman generation save the most recent. I also, as seemingly every other historical piece likes to remind people, once impersonated Explorer7777 as a laugh during the last Roman generation I personally lead.

You might be thinking, “Thanks for the history lesson, gramps. Don’t you have something better to do?”

Good question, but let’s not let that distract from the real reason why we’re here: The revival of the Club Penguin Romans.

Ever since our genesis, the Romans have been going through cycles of death and rebirth. A handful of former Romans get nostalgic and decide to bring it back, keep the army going until growth stagnates, then declare an end to their generation and revert the site to an archive. Ray’s generation that concluded in late 2020 was set to be our finale, with Club Penguin having been offline for years and Disney legal running rampant on the established private servers of the time; And yet, nearly five years later the desire for rebirth persists, as the CPA community continues to thrive in the hands of an entirely new generation. Now, another cycle begins.

This time, our goal is to establish a community that will withstand the test of time, like our aforementioned historical allies who are miraculously still going strong nearly two decades later; Failing that, at the very least we’re going to have a good time and send out the Romans with a bang. I, at the edge of 30, am formally announcing my return to the position of Consul, alongside Zaidimi, Smurf & Ulysses Nardo, who will be serving alongside me as Legates. Additionally, a number of former leaders will be returning to serve the army as Centurions, and will be aiding in our return when they have availability. We aim to bring about great change to the community and provide our members with a fresh, unique experience. We’ll be scheduling events across the three main CPPS’s in the near future, and we’re accepting applications from prospective Romans of all experience levels. If you’re interested, click on either the “Join” or “Chat” buttons on our sidebar and you’ll be directed to our Discord server, where we’ll make a proper Roman out of you. I look forward to making your acquaintance.

Ad Majorem Gloriam,
Djgtjvgyhxgy, Roman Consul
