On Our Departure From The CPA Org

Ave Romans, and greetings to all those reading this: You know who it is. On behalf of the Roman leadership, I’ve come forward to represent our position on recent developments within the community. Read more after the break:

Last month, the Roman leadership came to the decision following the RPF sexual misconduct debacle as well as the CPA organization’s scandalous mishandling of the situation to leave the org and exclusively be apart of the newly reestablished Club Penguin Army League. Despite our resignation, the CPA org has insisted that they will continue cover us and include us in their top ten ranking in spite of our wishes, leading into what inspired me to write this post.

Following the above scandals, the previous Roman leadership opted to retire and leave the community, growing weary of its overwhelming toxicity, a sentiment I myself echo. Finding ourselves suddenly without leaders, I bumped the army’s at-the-time Tribunes up to fill the empty Legate slots: Yellow Typer, Sumdog and Znation. Unbeknownst to me, Sumdog was actually 54x, a former Roman leader who had been banned from the community for leaking a minor’s nudes, something I was made aware of after the CPA org brought it to Toxic Storm’s attention. Despite our animosity and distrust towards the organization’s administration, once they provided us with proof of Sumdog’s real identity, he was immediately fired by my own hand; They also made us aware of the fact that our freshly departed Consul Games was also aware of his real identity, but being that he had just retired, there wasn’t much we could do about that.

Roughly a week later, the administration posted this statement on their site:

I want to make it abundantly clear: I, nor the leadership who were active at the time of Sumdog’s promotion, were aware of his true identity. At no point before this did anybody come forward and inform us of the fact that he was 54x in the roughly two months that he had been around leading up to his promotion to Legate. Furthermore, the only reason why we’re even listed on the CPA org’s top ten is because they’re continuing to cover us against our wishes. I find it difficult to view their admin’s actions, paired with everything that led up until now, as anything but malicious. They clearly have no interest in conducting themselves fairly or working with army leadership to repair trust in their organization. With this in mind, I have made the executive decision to ban the CPA organization administration from our Discord, and it is now Roman policy to reject any interview requests from both their admins and reporters. We have no wish to affiliate with their organization in any capacity, and we will go out of our way to make any attempts by them to cover our army as difficult as possible going forward. We are a CPAL army, and this is something that should be respected by their rival org regardless of their feelings on the matter. We implore Edu14463 and Jojo Teri to learn the value of consent, before they touch grass and try their hand at flirting.

Thank you for your time. Glory to the Roman Empire.
